more threats

More threats from my family.

Woke up at 5am to go toilet, then go check an email. Dad found me using the comp, think I had been using it till 5am. Told my mum. Mum got angry.
Dad told me when I got bk fr work "if you don't want to affect your mum's health, you shld..."

Emotional blackmail again.

I wonder whose health will deteriorate first with all these emotional black mail, mine or my mum's.

Hmmm....Maybe you should sit down with your parents and really have a good talk with them.

I remember, that's what I did with my Father, when he was jumping all over me, letting his assumptions get the better of me. Ok that was during my rebellious youth days... but after I did it, I think it made life much easier when it came to handling my own life...

I actually sat him down, and asked him. Do you trust me as your daughter? Lets not make the mistake of fighting and stressing each other out because of our assumptions. You assuming I am not taking care of myself, and I assuming you don't trust me. Start with this, work out a acceptable middle ground with them. What they expect to see from you, and agree on what you can accept "Interms of their level of concern" and at the same time you also lay down what kind of support you need from them, and in the end you must promise and never break their trust, to look after yourself. Afterall, you must remember, when you fall ill, its not only you who suffer, its the parents , the family , the caregivers also suffers alot :) Moreover, they are already old :)

So cool down k.... have a good talk with them... set some ground rules... and you must also start to look after YOU. Don't be like me .... After my first chemo in 2001, by 2003 I thought my life was back to normal again, I started partying and drinking again, living life the way I knew how then which was actually very unhealthy... see where it got me ?

my relaspe in 2006.... ain't worth it my dear... aint worth it :)
Take advantage of your youth to totally recover from the cancer monster, your chances are higher.... :)
